The title of the book is "20 Good Reasons to Stay Sober". I chose this title and format mainly because I was always told as a teen/young adult "you shouldn't do this" or "you shouldn't do that" but was never given any specific reasons as to why I shouldn't.
My hope is the people who read this book might consider some of the concepts herein in an attempt to avoid unnecessary pain.
Not everyone who drinks alcohol is, or will become, an alcoholic. Although, the only difference between a "normal" drunk person and an alcoholic is that an alcoholic is unable to control their drinking. The same negative results from drunkenness can happen to anyone, alcoholic or not. A drunken person is still a drunken person. Knowing this, I have put together 20 Good Reasons to Stay Sober (even if you don't have a drinking problem).
When putting together this book, I didn't want to produce a long, boring, piece of material which was going to be put down after 10 minutes of reading. The chapters are somewhat short, making this a quick and effective read.
This book was self-published in 2002 through Booksurge.com.
